Seattle is a tough market - for Buyers.
Time after time, properties marketed for sale are selling far and above their list prices. Many outlying areas are experiencing similar results too. I've been working with a Buyer, specific to Seattle, since December and went through multiple offers - coming out on the short end. Got close a couple of times, but losing those close ones was, even, more discouraging for my Buyer. On March 26th, my Buyer got his house and we're not looking back - yay !! However, many Buyers in the Greater Seattle Metro areas are frustrated due to lack of inventories. I find it strange that Sellers, in a market that favors them, are sitting on the sidelines. Truthfully, I believe many are going to put their houses on the market this Late Spring/Early Summer. While I'm unsure if inventories will, completely, satisfy Buyers - I believe we're taking steps in that direction. Additionally, I believe WA will continue to have a strong and growing economy - despite what's going on with Boeing layoffs (yet again). On the Eastside (I-405 corridor/Bellevue north through Marysville) - activity is, also, heating up. While many neighborhoods aren't seeing the multiple offers that are going on in Seattle, they are seeing increased interest and shorter market to sale times. THAT said, Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond, Lynnwood, Shoreline, Edmonds and portions of Everett are lighting up !! So, get ready - it's going to be an amazing 2016 market !! Mik
