"Hot market", "400 + sales a day", "Too many listings (Ok, I don't have too many listings !!)"
In fact, THAT is the subject of this blog. My truth is that I'm not doing anything close to the level of business I planned on doing in my 1st year as a licensed broker. What's my problem ? I've failed to identify a viable sphere of influence/opportunity, I'm not making enough phone calls, my marketing isn't getting the responses I anticipated, I'm not getting face to face with enough people, I'm not working with any, other, brokers AND I'm not participating in any events where I could "promote" my business. Coaching ? Still not sure that coaching is the way to go - but I'm thinking on it ! There's more reasons, too, but here's THEE #1 reason why my business is floundering: Me My experience and knowledge aren't diminished, but I've allowed myself to become frustrated AND I've been operating out of NEED, which is an "urgently" bad way to go. Watching my business AND personal accounts debit to lower and lower balances with no credits has threatened to buckle my knees. I'm done failing now. I allowed doubt to creep into my head - but I'm setting myself free from this by sharing my fears and frustrations, contained herein, with the WORLD !! I'm, now, investing more time into the things that bring me, personal, satisfaction and that lift me up. I know who I am and what I'm capable of - I simply allowed external interference too much power over my state of mind and, subsequently, being. Acceptance and Understanding - So - I'm unsure how many of you, regardless of your business, identify with and have experienced what I've gone/am going through. Regardless, I believe the 1st steps to healing are acceptance and understanding. I'm there - though I'm trying to "understand" my next steps. I'll get there - and I'm looking forward to meeting those of you enjoying the view from above ; ) Mik
